RE/MAX expands into China
RE/MAX has expanded its global reach into Asia once again, this time with entry into China, Hong Kong and Macau.
Here's a note from RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly to Broker/Owners and Managers regarding this exciting news:
I'm pleased to tell you that RE/MAX has sold franchise rights for China, including mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. The new RE/MAX China ownership group is based in Hong Kong and has extensive experience in real estate, banking, finance and franchising. They visited RE/MAX World Headquarters in Denver last week to finalize the details and participate in a flag-raising ceremony.
The new owners say they believe the value and professionalism of the RE/MAX brand will be well-received by Chinese consumers. With more than 1.3 billion people and a strong economy, China is a welcome addition to the RE/MAX network.
Expanding into these regions gives your agents an even wider referral base, and it's a fantastic opportunity to build cross-border business with other franchise owners. This is absolutely a win-win for everyone in the RE/MAX network.
The RE/MAX Global Franchise and Business Solutions Team will spend the next several months training the new owners and helping them get their Beijing operations headquarters up and running. We expect the first RE/MAX offices to open in China within the first quarter of 2013.
Please join me in congratulating Larry Oberly, RE/MAX Vice President of Global Franchise and Business Solutions, and his team on their relentless work to see this expansion through. RE/MAX now enjoys a presence in more than 85 countries, and we couldn't be more proud to add China to that ever-growing list.
