In a market where affordable homes are rare, Pine Ridge offers a practical solution with quality, location, and pricing that first-time buyers can realistically afford.

Affordable homes have become increasingly difficult to find in New Hanover County, and many buyers are feeling priced out. That’s why we want to introduce a newly launched neighborhood in Castle Hayne that offers a realistic path to homeownership.

How Are These Homes Priced So Affordably?

Homes in Pine Ridge start at $299,000 and are constructed in a controlled factory environment before being delivered and completed on site. While this process may sound unconventional, the homes are placed on permanent foundations, built to the same standards as traditional site-built homes, and qualify for conventional financing.

Features include nine-foot ceilings, stainless steel roofs, and open floor plans with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms—details typically found at much higher price points.

“Pine Ridge shows that affordability doesn’t have to mean sacrificing space, style, or quality.”

Why This Location Matters

Pine Ridge is located just one mile from Cape Fear Community College’s North Campus, with convenient access to downtown Wilmington, Laney High School, and major highways. Buyers also benefit from no city taxes and no monthly HOA fees, which can significantly reduce long-term ownership costs.

Availability Is Limited

There are only nine total lots in this development, with four homes currently move-in ready. Once they’re sold, no additional homes will be available. My wife Erin and I have been involved with this project from the beginning, and after touring the finished model home, she commented that it would make an ideal first home for one of our daughters. The quality truly stands out.

Do These Homes Feel Like Traditional Houses?

This is the most common question we hear, and the answer is yes. The homes feel solid, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Erin was initially skeptical as well, but after seeing the homes fully furnished, she was convinced. The layout, finishes, and curb appeal make them feel like a true home—not a compromise.

While the housing market in New Hanover County can be challenging, especially for buyers seeking affordability, opportunities like this still exist. With the right information and guidance, it’s possible to find a home that fits both your needs and your budget.
