My name is Buddy Blake, and I have lived in Wilmington my entire life, growing up near Wrightsville Beach and the Middle Sound area. I attended Wilmington Christian Academy from kindergarten through graduating in 1984. I then attended UNC Wilmington and graduated in 1989 with a degree in business, focussing on entrepreneurship and computer science. I worked in my father's Curtis Mathis radio and television showroom and our handful of video stores for about twenty years. After selling the family retail business, I got my real estate license and began working with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast in 1998.
Since entering the real estate business in 1998, I have consistently focused on listening to the needs of our clients and serving them with the utmost care, patience, and integrity. I was the first agent in the area to form a real estate team so buyers and sellers alike could receive highly specialized service and to ensure we have staff available at all times to answer questions, coordinate details, calm nerves, and, above all else - get the job done and get our clients the best solution possible.
Personally, I am happily married to Erin Blake, who is also a licensed real estate broker, and we have three lovely daughters. We live in the Porters Neck / Scotts Hill area of Wilmington. We spend a lot of time at the area's beaches, dining at so many great locally-owned restaurants, and most importantly to us - we are highly involved with our Church community in Scott's Hill. We are involved in numerous charities, through donations and serving, such as our Church, Life 90.5 Christian Radio, Samaritans Purse, Hope Heals, Lifeline of Wilmington, Wilmington Christian Academy, and a number of other area Churches in the region. My wife also runs her Sacred Shells network that she has cultivated since the crazy pandemic days.
My Mindset - I realize not everyone is ready to buy or sell a home at any given time. Still, my goal is to be a positive resource for anything real estate and be someone you can rely on for guidance when relocating to our area or when some life-change event has you wondering what to do next. I may not know all the answers, but I have a vast network of area professionals with like-minded, serve-first mindsets. The business blessings will follow if I help and serve enough people over time.
